If you are using the Disney Dining Plan, finding some excellent food to use your credits on can take some work. Here are several options that offer the best variety and quality to use your dining service credits on. Families not using the Dining Plan can also take advantage of the large portions available at these selections to split meals, offering some savings. The large portions also offer people on the dining plan the option of splitting a lunch and saving a QS credit for a breakfast - perhaps some Tonga Toast?
1. Be Our Guest, Magic Kingdom
This hard to get dinner spot is open for a Quick Service lunch, best obtained by reserving a fast pass for the meal. If you are staying at a Disney resort, they will email you an invitation approximately 28 days prior to your arrival, providing the link to the fast pass reservation site. This fast pass does NOT count towards your ride/attraction fast passes, so you can still make three selections for the day of your lunch, plus the Be Our Guest selection. When you select your fast pass, you’ll have the option of reserving a table or selecting your meals. Don’t worry, if you make a selection and change your mind, you can modify when you arrive. There are three dining rooms open for lunch, the main ball room and two smaller rooms (including the Rose Room) on either side of the main room. Drinks are self-serve, the rest of your meal will be magically delivered to your table! Great respite from the heat, wonderful not to have to stand in a long line then carry a heavy tray to your table, and the food is fantastic. Make sure you try a Grey Stuff cupcake!
2. Boardwalk Bakery, The Boardwalk Resort area
An easy boat ride from Hollywood Studios, and boat ride or walk from Epcot, the Boardwalk Bakery is newly renovated and offers a huge bang for your QS buck. Selections include sandwiches (including a lobster roll), salads and soups, and a QS meal comes with your choice of side item, drink and bakery item. The bakery items alone are drool-worthy, from the enormous cupcakes to the Peanut Butter Banana and Candied Bacon Pie. There is no seating inside the Bakery, but there are plenty of tables out on the Boardwalk to sit and enjoy your meal, or you could take it back to your resort pool and enjoy, since it’s all packaged neatly into boxes and then bagged, so easy to transport to your resort. Fantastic option for lunch or dinner, and they are also open for breakfast, where you could use a snack or QS credit depending on your appetite.
3. Flame Tree BBQ, Animal Kingdom
Often touted as the best Barbeque on Disney property, the Flame Tree BBQ offers large lunch or dinner portions and a wide menu selection for everyone in your party. You can find everything from a large order of ribs to a fruit plate with yogurt – or have the infamous turkey leg as a QS meal! Kids menu selections are slightly varied from other kids menus, offering a great change for the younger members of your party. It does have outdoor seating, but it’s covered and the fans are on, providing some relief from the heat.

4. Earl Of Sandwich, Downtown Disney
The line is intimidating, but stay put – it will move fast and the food is worth it! There is a wide menu of sandwich options available, and plenty of seating both indoors and out. Menu selections include hot sandwiches, wraps, soups, and the best selection of salads available at a QS location. Your QS meal will come with a drink and a choice between a side and a dessert, which is disappointing when craving both – but the meals are so large, you won’t have much room for anything else!
5. Riverside Mill Food Court, Port Orleans Resort
The hidden gem of QS meals, the Riverside Mill Food Court offers a huge variety of options for a QS credit. The different stations offer everything you could want, including pizza, grilled options, make your own salads, create your own pasta, sandwiches, and soups. At dinner there is also a carving station available. Two adults can opt to combine their QS for a large pizza, which comes with two drinks and two desserts. There is a wide variety of options for children, including options at the carving station at dinner time. Even the dessert and drink options are unique, offering selections from a bakery case or ice cream, and drinks including bottled water, sodas, energy drinks or drinks from the soda fountain – so if you have your refillable mug, you can also grab a bottle of water to save for later. You could easily eat here every day and never get the same thing twice! Port Orleans can be easily accessed by bus from any park (get off at the front building) or by boat from Downtown Disney.
6. Captain Cook, Polynesian Resort
An easy monorail ride from the Magic Kingdom or Epcot, Captain Cook’s offers a fantastic quick service lunch or dinner menu. Offerings include Polynesian themed items such as an Aloha Pork Sandwich or the Big Kahuna sandwich, and more standard fare (lobster roll, fish tacos, grilled ham and cheese, or chicken and waffles). They also have flatbreads and burgers for the less adventurous in your party, and sushi packaged from Kona Café – so truly, something for everyone. Children’s meal choices include a chicken and pineapple skewer, in addition to more standard children’s offerings. Another huge draw? The Dole Whip machine, allowing you to create your own Dole Whip! In addition to the dinner and lunch menu, they are open for breakfast and late night dining (limited menu at late night). At breakfast, you can find the famous Tonga Toast as a QS option! Seating is available both inside and out.
7. Starring Rolls Café, Hollywood Studios
Starring Rolls offers large, fresh sandwiches and sushi options for lunch, offering a nice variety from the burgers and pizza offering elsewhere in the park. The bakery case has a wide selection of options for dessert, and drink choices are both bottled and fountain. Kids selections are more limited, but they do offer the popular power pack. Seating is outside only, and space is limited inside, so it’s best if your party can split up and only send one or two people inside to get your food.
8. Sunshine Seasons, Epcot
Sunshine Seasons is located in The Land building, and offers stations with a variety of options. Sandwich options include fish tacos and a turkey sandwich, an Asian station has Mongolian beef or sweet-and-sour chicken, several salad options, and chicken, pork and fish dishes. There is also a bakery station and a drink cooler, allowing you to customize your meal however you like. They also have packaged items, including wrap sandwiches, fruit and cheese trays, sushi and salads. Kid’s options include macaroni and cheese and Uncrustables, as well as more adventurous options such as Salmon, Mongolian Beef, a Caesar salad, or a chicken leg. There is a large seating area, but if your party splits up, make sure you agree on a meet up spot or you will have a hard time finding each other!
